The majority of the 1980’s,  Joel became very familiar with local community activism, meetings, public hearings, and summers at the state legislature.

Joel was taught from a very young age to stand up for himself and for others.  He was taught that success is a combination of hard work, innovation, tenacity, as well as failure. Most importantly, Joel’s father taught him to give God the credit and serve others to attain real achievement.

Joel will bring fresh ideas and positive solutions to the community of Ascension Parish when elected as District 2 Councilman.

He plans to use his experience to serve as a strong member and leader on the District Council.
